EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard: Recover Your Data Easily
It is sometimes necessary to need to perform data recovery after a hard drive crash, an unintentional data deletion or formatting a little fast (forget backup for example). Fortunately, there are some tools that allow this type of recovery. Free or paid, have found more or less good. I tested Data Recovery Wizard from the company EaseUS, this software exists in several versions, including a free (limited to 2GB, but it can save anyway!).
This data recovery software offers two advanced modes of analysis:
– The quick scan will find the most recent deleted files and very quickly
– In-depth analysis allows you to find formatted, inaccessible or lost files, but it will take a few minutes of patience.
Thus, you will be able to recover all that you lost: images, documents, videos, music, emails, archives, PST, etc ….
EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard copes with most situations of data loss: recovering data after a deletion, formatting, inaccessibility or partition that goes into RAW (which never lived that !!), etc …
I will not present the installation of this software, since it is very simple, a simple “Next”, “Next”, “Finish” allows to perform the installation without hindrance. I have used a lot of data recovery tools, but it is true that it is very simple. When launching the Free Data Recovery Tool, an interface allows you to select the type of file you want to recover.
– DRW-types of lost files
The rest is not much more complicated, you select the hard disk or the location where you want to recover data. In my case, I selected a reformatted SD card.
– DRW-Select disc
By default, it is the quick scan that starts, in a few seconds you will already have some results. More or less satisfactory since the rapid analysis recovers in theory, only the deleted files. In my case, after formatting can still recover some files.
– DRW-rapid analysis
But if you want to go further, it is on the in-depth analysis that it will be necessary to count. The one that will recover most of your data even if your partition is now RAW. Be careful though, the in-depth analysis takes a lot of time. In my case, for about 50GB, the analysis lasted a little over 30 minutes (for less than 10 announced by the software). After, in a case of data loss, we are often ready to wait for the night if necessary. In any case, here I was able to recover a very large part of my data, I was even surprised to find data of a few years on the map.
The process being long, you can completely pause and continue later. The analysis results can be kept and imported to start another recovery without restarting the analysis.
Once the scan is complete, you can select the data to restore and the location you want. Recovery is much faster than the in-depth analysis.
You can test the free version which will allow you to get an idea of the tool, it works well, after for data recovery with a mechanical or electronic failure there is a good chance that it does not work and that it is necessary to carry out a recovery in clean room.
