Samsung Galaxy Fold 2’s battery gets certified in Korea

Earlier this year Samsung launched the world’s first foldable smartphone. Dubbed as Galaxy Fold, the smartphone was one of its kind for a couple of days only to be replaced by Huawei who launched their first foldable smartphone, Mate X. While Galaxy Fold opened doors for new innovations, it also had a couple of design flaws which forced Samsung to abandon the launch and fix the design.

Samsung did eventually launched the Galaxy Fold a couple of months back, the Korean giant also started working on a new smartphone to replace the Galaxy Fold. At this time, we don’t know much about the upcoming foldable smartphone from Samsung. That being said, the battery of Samsung’s upcoming smartphone recently showed up on SafetyKorea (via Nashville Chatter) which gave us the first real insight into the upcoming smartphone from Samsung. Like the Galaxy Fold, the Fold 2 will carry the same two battery design but will have different capacities. It is believed that the smaller of the two batteries will have a capacity of 900mAh.

Back in October, Samsung showcased a clamshell design similar to the Motorola RAZR which could be the final design of the Galaxy Fold 2. The rumours also suggested that Samsung will make the Galaxy Fold 2 cheaper than the Galaxy Fold but we highly doubt it will cost less than $1,000.
