Creative networking and jobs site The Dots has published a list of the top 50 companies to work for, based on a survey of its creative membership, insights from company follows, and “a dash of our team’s wisdom”. Tate comes out on top, as it has in previous years, which The Dots says is down to the institution’s “ability to connect and support local communities, as well as young people from different backgrounds who are interested in the arts,” plus a constant supply of exciting roles.

In second place is Anyways Creative (It’s Nice That’s sister agency), with The Dots citing “meaningful creativity and sense of adventure” plus its recent projects for Adobe – the Creative Type quiz – and Sonos – The Brilliant Sound Experience – as reasons for its high placement.

Third place went to Extinction Rebellion, even though its jobs are largely unpaid. The Dots explains this decision was based on its roles offering flexible creative work for those “who have time and want to make a difference in the world”.

Following up in places four to ten are (in ranking order): Depop, Dazed, Spotify, Zetteler, Moo, Technology Will Save Us, Airbnb and Ace & Tate.

The curated list features the likes of Nike (placed at 11), Google (12), Wieden + Kennedy (16), Monocle (21), Pentagram (24), Lego (25), Superimpose (30), UsTwo (33), AKQA (40) and MTV (45). It comes out at the peak time of year for jobseekers, as more jobs are posted in January than any other month according to ZipRecruiter.
